Congee Wong Restaurant in tdornhill

We got deep fried squid tentacles, wonton soup and seafood chow mein. It has been a while since we last came here and the quality of everything seemed very sub-par. The squid tentacles were rather soft and not breaded enough, the chow mein was very soggy and the wonton soup was just meh. The restaurant was super quiet for a Saturday afternoon, so the service was good.

The atmosphere is comfortable and fairly new. They have an extensive menu and lots of choices. The food is average but quite msg heavy.

Ate here recently. We ate General Tsao chicken which was excellent, the eggplant with ground pork which was very good and beef brisket lo mein which was so so. The noodles were just boiled and the beef was fatty and chewy. Service was good.

The services and food quality of this restaurant chains have been slowly degrading over time. Every once in a while when I go back to re-visit a location of this restaurant chain, my mind always tell me don't go back there again. The waitress also begged for more tips. Come on! Give customers a great service and a cheerful smile, everyone is willing to reward you with more tips. If the service is lousy, you can't expect too much. Ask your cheap boss to raise your salary instead! Bad experience. Won't go there again!!!

Consistently good Chinese food and friendly service. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. The parking is free. This Chinese restaurant has been around for years and is one of our local favourites as it's always clean, fresh, tasty and fast! Thank you.

This restaurant is located inside the Promenade Shopping Centre. According to our experiences, there do not have too many customers before 12 pm during the weekdays. We went there 2 days ago for brunch. We ordered three dishes including a Lai Wan Style Congee, a Liver Rice Noodle Roll, and a Sweet Cruller Rice Noodle Roll. All food were great and we were well served. Get yourself full here is a good choice before doing your shopping.

The service is immediate! Food is always freshly prepared. Good value!Enjoy a good meal here!

Have been here many times due to their convenient location. I usually go shopping in the mall with my 90 years old mom and will have lunch there as well. But their dishes have way too much sauce and salty. Prices are affordable and services ok. Never had I gotten the tips included in my bill. May be they will do that if you request separate bill? I will go there if I shop at the Promenade again with my old mom but will request to have less sauce.

A PIECE OF METAL WIRE about the size of a staple was IN MY FOOD!The portion and taste of the food were satisfactory, but the customer service and sanitation were poor. Eat with caution, you don't know what unexpected ingredients will come out of your food.I didn't ask to cancel the food because I had already eaten almost all the food. But I expected to receive an sincere apology with explanation. NONE received. I told the waiter that I wanted to tell the owner about it, but he took the dish and threw it over a pile of dishes instead.Again I tried again in vain to spoke to Cashier, who was sitting at the counter, but she just nodded. No response, no apology.It's clear that staffs don't give single care about customer, even a bit.I would hate to imagine what would have happened if I swallowed it.

My kids are the pickiest eaters but obsess over their chicken fried rice (without any of the greens). I spend about $26 a week on fried rice. Ive tried making it at home but just can't get it the same. Its rice, chicken, and eggs. What am i missing here?! Im gonna go broke soon if I cant figure it out!!

Food is good here, portions are generous for the amount you pay. Overall, not bad!

Just had a meal and found a long hair in it. I get it, people do the whole hair in the food all the time, but this was legit. I have eaten there several times. Good food, good portions, but service has always been a downfall. The staff called the manager. He offered a discount or to remake the food. We were turned off with the food and asked for the discount. He came back with a discount of $2.34!!!! Yes, you're reading right. $2.34! NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!
